I'm very partial to arrangements that have a "folk hymn" style feel. This one sort of is like "The Gettys meet Southern Harp" in the fact that it feels both old and new at the same time. I immediately downloaded it and will be using it tonight in rehearsal. I hope DW continues to produce this style of hymn arrangement!
My choir and congregation just love this song. The pastor thought we had made a mistake and sung it with the demo track, my small choir couldn't produce that much sound. It is both like an old time revival song, and has a contemporary feel. We will sing this one often. Thanks
I put the "ease of use" star at 4 only because of the several modulations and occasional tricky harmony spots. Having said as much, the music is outstanding, the theology is really sweet and the arrangement is supreme. I may weave it into an Easter cantata and/or use it at other times. It is one of the best songs I have heard from DW. And that's after having been with the company for close to 20 years.
My choir fell in love with this song the first time they heard it. It is a favorite of all! Easy to sing with a wonderful message.
